May 23

Happy Wednesday class! As we close out the semester, be sure to use your time wisely and complete all of the tasks required, then move on to the next ones in Moodle to get ahead!
Be reminded that you lose participation points when you are caught on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and similar sites. You may listen to music on a site like www.grooveshark.com that does NOT have videos. If music starts to interfere with your ability to complete your work or stay on task, you will lose that privilege.
Warm Up:

What is the healthiest thing you’ve eaten this week? What is the least healthy thing you’ve eaten this week? Do you generally eat healthy or no? I give myself a grade of C in the healthy eating category, which is not super good, but not super bad!
Assignment:
The PowerPoint project that will serve as your final exam for this class is to be e-mailed to me at charles.horner@lansingschools.net. We will be working on it for the next week, the deadline will be next Tuesday, May 29, 2012. I know this seems impossible, but Mr. Horner made a MISTAKE and forgot that we don’t have school next Monday! The requirements for the project are as follows: You must make a presentation describing your academic and personal growth this semester.
1.      You will create a 13 slide PowerPoint showcasing your growth this semester. The breakdown of the slides is as follows:
2.      7 slides will describe each of the classes you took this semester, including Advisory. You will tell what the class was, who the teacher was, and something that you enjoyed doing or learned in that class. You must include a picture on each slide that represents the subject or what you learned.
3.      3 slides will go into more detail about things you did or learned in your Intro To Computers class. What were some things that you learned to do or got better at doing? What online resources did you learn to use and how might you be able to use these skills in the future?
4.      3 slides will describe your personal growth in extracurricular activities at school, such as clubs or sports, or things outside of school, such as good things you’ve done or learned at home or work.
5.      Each slide should include pictures or clipart. You should use different font sizes, slide transitions, and animations. Include details so that your PowerPoint looks well polished and interesting to read.
6.      The name of your PowerPoint should be your first and last name and say project. Example: Charles Horner project.
