Good morning class! I hope everything has been going well and you are making good use of your time in completing this week’s assignments. I’ve really been learning a lot about the IB Middle Years Programme and feel it will be really helpful in guiding the way I develop my lessons and assessments. Even as adults, we never stop learning!

Be reminded that you lose participation points when you are caught on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and similar sites. You may listen to music on a site like www.grooveshark.com that does NOT have videos. If music starts to interfere with your ability to complete your work or stay on task, you will lose that privilege.

Warm Up:

I seriously need your help! I know my flight numbers for my return flight tonight, but I don’t remember what time my flight leaves Tampa and when I’m arriving in Grand Rapids. Your warm up activity for today is to go to Delta Air’s website (google it) and find the section for checking my FLIGHT STATUS. All I know is that my first flight, from Tampa, is flight #1850 to Cincinnati, Ohio. My second flight is #6051 to Grand Rapids, Michigan. I need you to tell me what time each flight departs and if it is ON TIME, DELAYED, or CANCELED. Finally, what time will I arrive in Grand Rapids? This is a real-world skill that is used by thousands of businessmen and women, secretaries, and travel agents every day!

On our Computer Apps Semester 2 moodle site, the due date for 2.2.5 E-Mail: Signatures and 2.P.1 Portfolio: Business Letter about writing a letter to San Antonio Shoes is Friday, May 11^th.
